The A361 in Wiltshire has been closed while 999 crew attend a serious accident

The busy A361 in Wiltshire has been closed following a serious accident.

Emergency services were called to the stretch of road between Southwick and Rode at around 7.30am this morning (Tuesday).

Further details are unclear, but at least one person is believed to have been seriously injured.

In a statement, a Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “Drivers, please note that the A361 at Rode Common Farm, south-west of Southwick, is currently closed in both directions following a serious RTC .

“The road will likely be closed for several hours. Please find alternate routes.”
