Super League disciplinary decisions have been confirmed with five suspended, including players from St Helens and Hull KR

It’s Monday again, which can only mean one thing: the Match Review Committee has made Super League disciplinary decisions after round 19.

Last week we saw four players charged but only one suspension as Warrington Wolves’ James Harrison was sent off for making contact with his head on his shoulder, he received a grade D charge but was suspended for just two Games.

This week the action got underway on Thursday night as Leeds Rhinos comfortably beat Huddersfield Giants 34-6.

There, Sam Lisone’s driving elbow contact was of particular interest to the panel, while he and Adam Milner were booked in that game.

St Helens’ miserable 80 minutes in a 40-4 loss to Leigh Leopards on Friday night was made worse by a duo of Mark Percival and Jonny Lomax being sent off for 10.

Elsewhere, Hull KR beat London Broncos 40-16 and Warrington Wolves also hit 40, beating Wigan Warriors 40-4.

Matt Dufty was booked for a tackle on Liam Marshall which the Panel watched closely.

Castleford Tigers’ 30-22 defeat by Salford Red Devils on Saturday was partly down to Liam Horne’s late tackle and Sylvester Namo’s high tackle.

We later saw two red cards as Catalans Dragons beat Hull FC 24-16, Tariq Sims sent off for moving an injured player and Ligi Sao sent off for a high tackle.

Some huge bans are still to be handed out, with an E grade head contact charge handed to St Helens’ Jonny Lomax – likely to result in 4-6 games.

Meanwhile, in addition to his B-grade head contact charge, Tariq Sims handed out an F-grade “Raising an injured player” charge, which is more than a 6-game suspension.

Also receiving bans St Helens’ Mark Percival, who received a one-game ban for Head Contact Grade B, Castleford Tigers’ Liam Horne received a two-game ban for Head Contact Grade C (top tier) , Hull FC’s Sao Leagues for C Grade Head Contact (top tier) and Hull KR’s Matty Storton.

Storton’s charge of ‘Other Misconduct Grade C’ is listed in the committee minutes as being for ‘use of leg in tackle’ and will see him suspended for one game.
