Aldi could offer shoppers £100 if they ’email the receipt image’ during the Olympics

Aldi has unveiled a golden offer to refund lucky customers up to £100. The supermarket giant, which is the official sponsor of Team GB and ParalympicsGB, is launching the new promotion to ensure fans can support the national athletes without missing out.

As part of the scheme, Aldi is offering shoppers who missed out on a gold medal because they were at the checkout the chance to claim their spending in Aldi vouchers. Aldi UK communications director Richard Thornton added: “The wait is over – we finally get to see Team GB in action and we want our shoppers to enjoy the games too.




“If anyone is unlucky enough to miss out on a medal because they’re paying for an Aldi shop, we’ll reimburse them as a small consolation for missing out on a magical moment. Hopefully the vouchers will help him buy everything he has. we need to throw an amazing Olympic watch party for the next event and really enjoy the Olympic fever”.

Customers who are in the house when Team GB secure a gold should send a snapshot of their receipt to [email protected]. The time stamp on the receipt must coincide with when a Team GB athlete wins gold.

The first 10 eligible entrants will be refunded the value of their purchases in Aldi vouchers. This will be up to a maximum of £100.

Great Britain are currently in seventh place at the Paris 2024 Olympics with two gold, five silver and three bronze medals. Japan takes the lead with six gold, two silver and four bronze medals. In second place is France, followed by China and Australia.

Aldi has unveiled a range of special Olympic products to help the nation celebrate the games. The supermarket’s offerings include barbecue favorites and award-winning wines and spirits, ensuring shoppers have everything they need for an unforgettable watch party.

In addition, Aldi recently extended its partnership with Team GB until 2032. Since its inception in 2015, the collaboration between Aldi and Team GB has reached over 2.6 million young people through the ‘Get Set to Eat Fresh’ initiative.
