West Street activity bar is closing as big-name sports pub opens in Sheffield city centre

A popular West Street bar has closed in Sheffield city centre.

To leave signs of having boarded up the Billy Big Balls window, the location is also listed as “permanently closed” on Google. Billy Big Balls, which was based in the former player base, gave the big kids in town a grown-up ball pit, while punters could also challenge their friends to beer pong.

The place opened in 2022, being touted as a popular spot for a great Instagram photo. Elsewhere in Sheffield city centre, we recently brought you news of Box looking to open a new location.
