Barker’s Amusements explains why it will not be visiting Bedworth Park this summer

Fair bosses have explained why they will not be setting up shop in Bedworth’s biggest park this summer. Barker’s Amusements normally bring their fair to Miner’s Welfare Park.

He says he’s gotten messages from families asking when they’re going to bring their rides to the park this summer. But he responded with an open public message explaining their absence this year.

The message reads: “We have received a large number of messages asking when we will be attending Bedworth Miners Welfare Park this year. Unfortunately, due to the works taking place in the park, we will not be attending Bedworth this year.”

But the company pointed out that it has moved elsewhere in the neighborhood. “Please be advised that although we cannot visit Bedworth this year, we are only a few miles away in Nuneaton at Pingles Field.

“And we’re open every day until Sunday, August 4.” The message continues and adds that they hope to make a Bedworth comeback.

“We hope to be able to liaise with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council over the coming months to arrange our visit to the Bedworth area for next year.”
