BBC Radio 2’s Zoe Ball and Woody Cook’s son have lined up new TV projects

BBC Radio 2 star Zoe Ball and her son Woody Cook are to host a new show together after their successful appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox. The pair, who have reportedly held talks with several production companies, are looking to develop a new series.

Their dynamic on Celebrity Gogglebox over the past few series, which has included moments where Zoe embarrasses Woody on national television, alongside their obvious bond, has been a hit with viewers. It has also attracted the attention of TV executives who are keen to work with mother and son, the Mirror reports.

Zoe shares Woody, 23, with ex-husband Norman Cook, better known as DJ Fatboy Slim. Woody has been making his own waves in the entertainment industry, appearing in The Circle in 2019, Cooking With The Stars in 2022 and the Channel 4 documentary How To Be A Man, as well as performing at a recent gig in Brighton.

Zoe and Norman announced their split in 2016 after nearly two decades of marriage, saying they had “reached the end of our rainbow”. Despite the split, Zoe’s father Johnny Ball said the two remain on friendly terms.

Now, Zoe and her son are believed to have wanted to work together on a new show for some time. A TV insider said: “Zoe and Woody are in high demand and would love to work on new projects together. A mother and son presenting team is quite rare on British television so they can bring something different. I’m ready for this. .”

Woody himself expressed his excitement about future opportunities with his mother. Speaking previously to The Sun, he said: “The industry is so tough but we will get there. I’m excited for whatever we’re going to end up with.”

The Mirror has contacted Zoe Ball for comment.
