Sidcup updates live as bones found by member of public in south London park

This is the latest incident of possible human remains found in London this year.

Rowdown Fields in New Addington, Croydon was cordoned off in April after human remains were found. Police have confirmed they belong to south London woman Sarah Mayhew, with both Steven Samson and Gemma Watts charged with her murder.

More human remains were later found by construction workers in Mitcham. The case was adjourned to September 26, while a provisional trial date was set for April next year.

Yostin Andres Mosquera, 34, of Scotts Road, Shepherds Bush, has been charged with murdering Paul Longworth, 71, and Albert Alfonso, 62, in a flat in west london.

The remains of both men were found in suitcases on the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol and in a flat in Scotts Road.
