Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin Name Confirmed – Trademark Registered

Royal Enfield has registered a trademark for a new name – Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin. That’s right, the awesome retro roadster Royal Enfield Classic 350 is set to be launched in a 650cc avatar.

The 650cc roadster has already been spotted several times and now the trademark application has been registered as ‘Formalities Chk Pass’, which means that the Indian Trademark Registry has authenticated the trademark application documents.

Now, as the bike has been seen before, we know that it looks a lot like its smaller sister – the Classic 350. It has a similar headlight, a teardrop shaped fuel tank and a split seat setup. From the position of the handlebars and center footpegs, the riding position should also be upright, just like the 350.

It will be powered by the same 648cc twin-cylinder air/oil cooled engine producing 47.45PS and 52Nm as the other 650cc bikes. However, to match the Classic’s relaxed and laid-back vibe, it’s likely to have a slightly different engine tuning. It has dual exhausts that look very stylish with their chrome finish.
