Jürgen Klopp was spotted at Anfield ahead of his final game in charge of Liverpool on Sunday. The German will bring the curtain down on almost nine years at the helm in what is sure to be an emotional occasion against Wolves.

Ahead of his farewell game, a video emerged on social media showing Klopp at Anfield. The footage shows the Liverpool boss standing alone on the half-way line, looking towards the Kop. Another image shows him sitting in the famous stand while taking in the surroundings.

Speaking after his final away game at Aston Villa on Monday, Klopp praised the club’s supporters and said: “I always liked it, I liked it today. I really appreciate what these guys and gals are doing. The away fans are always like absolutely crazy what they did, where they were. I’ve asked them to travel a lot over the years.

“It was and is a wonderful relationship. I always try to show my appreciation and the boys showed that today with the way they played.

“I still don’t feel like it’s the last time, I know it is, but I just don’t feel it. Obviously, I’m more professional than I thought, because I was completely in the game, I didn’t think for a second that it would be my last away game, no film crossed my mind, nothing. I was totally into the game.”

Liverpool “launch a $130m bid” for Rodrygo

A Spanish reporter has wildly claimed that Liverpool have made a huge bid to sign Real Madrid star Rodrygo this summer. With Kylian Mbappé expected to move to the Bernabéu after confirming his exit from PSG, there have been rumors surrounding the future of Los Blancos’ current stars.

Rodrygo, in particular, has been linked with a move, apparently with his place in Mbappé’s riskiest side. Liverpool are one of the clubs being linked with his services, with the latest claim suggesting a sensational bid of $130m (£103m/€120m) has already been made.

Spanish outlet Fichajes quoted El Chiringuito reporter Eduardo Inda as saying: “The candidate club is Liverpool and the player is a player very similar to their style. We are talking about an extremist of Real Madrid and it is Rodrygo. Real Madrid’s refusal is categorical because the management likes him very much.”

We can probably safely put this in the “won’t happen” pile. The chances of Liverpool parting that much for a striker this summer, when there are other areas of the squad that need to be looked after first, are surely slim.
