Man taken to hospital after assault in Newquay

A man has been taken to hospital with leg, hand and head injuries after an attack in Newquay.

Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police were dispatched to Trenance Road at around 10.50pm BST on Monday.

The 30-year-old man was taken to hospital.

A 40-year-old woman from Newquay has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody.
