Hindenburg probe alleges India’s market regulator chief held investments in offshore funds used by Adani Group By Reuters

MUMBAI (Reuters) – U.S. short seller Hindenburg Research in a new report on Saturday alleged that the chairman of India’s markets regulator, Madhabi Puri Buch, held investments in certain offshore funds that were used and by the Adani group.

Buch did not immediately respond to a call and a Whatsapp message.

Citing whistleblower documents, Hindenburg said Buch and her husband held stakes in an offshore fund in which a substantial amount of money was invested by Vinod Adani, the brother of Gautam Adani, who is chairman of the Adani group of companies.
