BBC Traitors play to the queuing crowds as a new Food Warehouse store opens in Coventry

A BBC Traitors star was among the crowds at the grand opening of a new store in Coventry. Traitors 2022 finalist Wilf Webster was at the official opening of the Food Warehouse store at Central Six Retail Park.

More than 100 people had been queuing since 6am for the store to open yesterday (May 14). The first 100 lucky winners were given £1,000 worth of store vouchers and the first 200 customers at the check-out were given a free 1.2kg tub of Jellybeans.




Wilf Webster, who was branded a traitor in the first series of the hit BBC show, visited the store as part of the Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation (IFCF). partnership with the Campaign Against Miserable Living (CALM).

After speaking publicly about her own struggles with mental health and receiving an outpouring of support from her social media, she reached out to CALM and attended the opening of the new store in Coventry to educate and empower people to start lifesaving conversations.

Speaking about the official opening, Stuart Watts, Area Manager at Coventry The Food Warehouse, said: “We are so excited to welcome Coventry shoppers to our new The Food Warehouse store. Everyone was so excited for the grand opening – people were even queuing since 6am!

“If you haven’t been down yet, make sure you visit our brand new store and get your hands on some unmissable bargains!”
