Trump chips fall after Elon Musk interview, Kamala Harris gains support on Polymarket

  • Donald Trump-themed tokens have dropped in the last 24 hours after his X space with Elon Musk.
  • Kamala Harris overtakes Trump on Polymarket shares as KAMA token rallies.
  • The Crypto4Harris team is working to get the crypto community’s support for Harris, Jonathan Padilla said.

Meme tokens based on former President Donald Trump saw a sell-off on Tuesday after cryptocurrencies were not mentioned during his interview with Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Monday. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris is gaining more support in the upcoming presidential election as Polymarket data reveals that her chances of winning the race are now ahead of Trump’s.

PolitiFi tokens fall amid growing support for Kamala Harris

PolitiFi tokens named after Republican candidate Donald Trump have fallen over the past 24 hours as holders may sell due to disappointment over the former president’s interview with billionaire Elon Musk in an X space. Most members of the crypto community anticipated a discussion about the crypto during the interview, which never appeared.

MAGA, TREMP and STRUMP tokens fell by 11%, 9% and 7% respectively. The decline started a few hours after the interview, which may suggest that token holders were unhappy with the outcome and started selling their coins.

Meanwhile, the KAMA token based on Vice President Kamala Harris has risen for four straight days, showing possible growing interest in the Democratic candidate as the presidential election nears. KAMA is up over 2% in the last 24 hours.

Harris has not publicly decided whether her administration will support the crypto industry. However, there have been whispers of closed-door meetings with crypto experts where her campaign discussed crypto-related issues and concerns.

At the same time, the Polymarket odds have shifted in favor of Kamala Harris as she now leads Trump in the crypto prediction market. Harris is currently the odds-on favorite to win the upcoming election, leading Trump 52 percent to 45 percent.

In addition, the group Crypto4Harris attracted strong support for Kamala Harris in the election by raising awareness among crypto experts of her possible pro-crypto stance.

The group will hold a town hall with several crypto enthusiasts on Wednesday to discuss the crypto-focused Harris administration.

“This event on Wednesday, tomorrow, is really a starting point. Our bigger goal is to really engage with the Harris campaign in a meaningful way and do an official reset,” Jonathan Padilla said in an interview with The Block.

Representatives Ritchie Torres, Wiley Nickel, Adam Schiff and Crypto Council for Innovation CEO Sheila Warren will be among the town hall speakers.
