Former Bristol Rovers player Marcus Stewart and Team Stewart are set to embark on the latest charity fundraiser on Stewart’s Sports Tour and you still have time to sign up to get involved!

Former striker Stewart was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2022. Since then, he and wife Louise – as Team Stewart – have worked tirelessly and passionately to raise public awareness of the condition, while raised over £430,000 in 18 months of campaigning.

The Stewarts will now do another walking challenge in July, this time around Bristol. Stewart’s sports tour will start and finish at Rovers’ Memorial Stadium and travel 17 miles around the city – visiting other notable sporting venues – in a bid to raise much-needed extra funds.

Taking place on Saturday 20 July 2024, teams of up to six footies will start their journey across the city from The Mem and take groups to Bristol Flyers, Bristol Storm, Broad Plain Rugby Club, Ashton Gate and Seat Unique Stadium before turn. to the Rovers.

People who want to attend the inspirational event can do so Here, with registration costing £10. Teams are also asked to try and raise a minimum of £100 per person in each team in aid of the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.
