Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi said he “don’t mind” testing elsewhere if the right opportunity presents itself.

The future of Leicester City midfielder Ndidi has been the subject of speculation for the better part of a year.

Ever since the Foxes’ relegation from the Premier League, the Nigerian has been frequently linked with moves and speculation has only increased with his contract expiring this summer.

His contract situation remains up in the air as the expiry date approaches and as it stands, the January 2017 signing will move from Leicester at the end of his current contract.

Only time will tell exactly what the coming weeks and months hold for Ndidi, but the 27-year-old has now offered comments on his future.

As quoted by African news outlet Complete Sports (as reported by Leicestershire Live), the Leicester City man refused to be drawn in by what lies ahead, but admitted he “won’t mind” if he arrives to try his luck away from the Foxes. He said:

“If a good chance comes I don’t mind trying my luck elsewhere, but for now I’ll remain a Leicester City player.”
