League One free agents: 102 Birmingham City players can sign on the cheap this summer

Birmingham City are still finalizing talks with the eight senior players who are out of contract this summer, but free agents are already hitting the market.

The vast majority of League One clubs have already confirmed their retained and published lists after the end of the 2023/24 season. The Championship season finished a week later than League One, so it’s understandable that the Blues and their rivals need a little more time.

The transfer window won’t fully activate until next month, when it officially opens. The summer transfer window runs from June 14 to August 30 this year.

The Blues are expected to have a healthy budget in League One and could be eyeing top-quality players, but a few on this list could be to their liking. For example, Jonson Clarke-Harris top scored in League One on two separate occasions for Peterborough United and was allowed to leave London Road. Former Blues striker Lyle Taylor is also available after a 14-game spell at Cambridge United which saw him score three times. Another former Blue, defender Curtis Davies, is also available after leaving Cheltenham Town following their relegation to League Two.
