Leeds United have their final home game of the 23/24 season tomorrow in the second leg of their play-off semi-finals and it could be the last time we see some players at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke was content to see his side draw 0-0 at Carrow Road on Sunday, setting up an exciting second leg at Elland Road on Thursday.

The winner heads to Wembley for a chance at promotion back to the Premier League, a huge boost for the 49ers, should that happen, to regain top-flight status at the first time of asking.

Leeds v Norwich preview: The Whites need to find their home form again

From a neutral perspective, Leeds would have plenty of confidence coming into Thursday’s clash with a win over Norwich.

However, Elland Road haven’t been a total fortress of late with a winless run in their last three games, drawing with Sunderland and then losing to Blackburn Rovers and Southampton.

Fortunately for Leeds, Norwich came to Elland Road in 19th place at the end of the away season, playing 23 times on their travels, with just six wins to go along with six draws and 11 defeats – picking up 24 points.

Who will win the playoffs?

It could be the last Elland Road appearance for Liam Cooper and Jamie Shackleton

As Leeds’ last home game of the season, it will likely be the last time some players play for the club at home.

Leeds have a handful of players out of contract at the moment, two of them being Liam Cooper and Jamie Shackleton.

Neither has been at the top of Daniel Farke’s calculations in 2024 after playing more in the earlier stages of the season and he could well bid farewell to the stadium tomorrow night.

There is little suggestion so far that Shackleton will be offered new terms, while Cooper has indicated he would be happy to sign an extension.

However, given their lack of game time, it looks like this could be the last time they find themselves in a Leeds matchday squad in LS11.
