LIVE: ‘Traffic gridlock’ in Manchester city center with emergency services at the scene

There is “traffic gridlock” heading into Manchester city center this evening following a collision involving two vehicles. A taxi was left with its doors smashed after the collision on Great Ancoats Street.

A large emergency services presence is present, with police and fire crews blocking the main road at the junction with Every Street.




Traffic continues to build today with the road blocked in both directions causing long delays for those traveling in and out of the city centre.
