Does the quick energy fix lead to fast money?

While admitting “no wrongdoing,” Clif Bar & Co.’s arguments. about the sugar content of its energy bars are gone as the company settles a lawsuit that claimed some of its products were deceptively marketed as healthy, Fast Money. reported.

As the publication announced, the company “may owe you money.” (How’s that for quick cash?)

According to the class action website, the lawsuit alleged that Clif Bar labeled its bars with claims that suggested the bars were healthy when they were, in fact, unhealthy due to the bars’ added sugar content.

Clif Bar & Co., which has pleaded not guilty, is now setting up a $12 million fund to settle the lawsuit. That fund will be used to pay legal and administrative costs, as well as make cash refunds to customers who want to claim in the process, according to the publication.
