Russian stocks rise at close of trade; MOEX Russia rose 0.14% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Moscow, it added 0.14% to hit a new 52-week low.

The best performers of the session were Tatneft-3 (MCX: ), which rose 2.83% or 16.60 points to trade at 603.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Tatneft OAO Pref (MCX: ) added 2.56% or 15.00 points to end at 601.80 and NK Lukoil PAO (MCX: ) was up 2.56% or 157.50 points up to 6,305.00 at the end of trading.

The worst performers of the session were VK Company Ltd DRC (MCX: ), which declined 3.59% or 14.20 points to trade at 381.20 at the close. Mobil’nye Telesistemy PAO (MCX: ) declined 2.66% or 5.65 points to end at 207.15 and Aeroflot (MCX: ) declined 2.22% or 1.09 points to at 48.05.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 149 to 94 and 8 ended unchanged.

Shares in VK Company Ltd DRC (MCX:) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.59% or 14.20 to 381.20. Shares of Mobil’nye Telesistemy PAO (MCX:) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.66% or 5.65 to 207.15.

Gold futures for December delivery were down 0.01 percent, or 0.35, at $2,550.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery fell 1.68%, or 1.23, to $71.94 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.01 % or 0.01 to $76.09 per barrel.

USD/RUB fell 0.01% to 91.50, while EUR/RUB rose 0.03% to 102.05.

US dollar index futures fell 0.25% to 101.04.
