Brent Greenwood was named the MIAA Women’s Golf Coach of the Year

HUDSONVILLE, Michigan — The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) is proud to announce Adrian College’s Brent Greenwood as the 2024 Women’s Golf Coach of the Year.

This prestigious award is a vote of the coaches based on the accomplishments of their teammates during both regular and post-season competition.

Greenwood was selected as the 2024 Women’s Golf Coach of the Year after leading the Bulldogs to a second-place regular season finish with a team average of 325.33.

“It is an honor to receive the MIAA Women’s Coach of the Year award,” commented Greenwood. “All the credit goes to the players on the field. They’re a great group and I can’t wait to get there after the fall.”

Under Greenwood’s leadership, four female golfers earned 2024 All-MIAA honors, including a three-time All-MIAA honoree Riley Klecktwo-time All-MIAA golfers Lauren Reed and Olivia Ohmerand awarded for the first time Sarah Bevington.

In his three seasons at the helm of the women’s program, Greenwood led the Bulldogs to the 2022 regular season championship and the 2023 MIAA tournament title and coached the 2022 MIAA medalist Olivia Ohmer. Adrian has finished in the top three of the conference rankings since the 2014 Adrian alum took over.
