Greek stocks rise at close of trade; Athens General Composite rose 0.25% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Athens, it gained 0.25%.

The best performers of the session on the were Iktinos Hellas (AT: ), which rose 4.49% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Ellactor SA (AT: ) added 3.70% or 0.08 points to end at 2.10 and Viohalco SA (AT: ) was up 3.13% or 0.18 points to trade at 5.94 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Cenergy Holdings SA (AT: ), which decreased 1.69% or 0.17 points to trade at 9.89 at the close. Intracom Holdings SA (AT: ) declined 1.57% or 0.05 points to end at 3.14 and Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (AT: ) declined 1.52% or 0.23 points to 14 ,94.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Athens Stock Exchange 66 to 48, with 21 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery fell 1.22%, or 31.20, to $2,516.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude oil for October delivery rose 1.49%, or 1.07, to $73.00 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.47% or 1.12, to 77.17 dollars per barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.43% to 0.85.

US dollar index futures rose 0.47% to 101.39.
