Greek stocks fall at close of trade; Athens General Composite fell 0.24% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the end in Athens, it lost 0.24%.

The best performers of the session on the were Industrial and Commercial Biocarpet Enterprises SA (AT: ), which rose 3.00% or 0.06 points to trade at 2.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Intralot (AT:) added 1.77% or 0.02 points to end at 1.15 and Fourlis Hld (AT:) was up 1.74% or 0.07 points to trade at 3.81 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Engine oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT: ), which declined 2.58% or 0.56 points to trade at 21.14 at the close. Athena water (AT:) declined 2.48% or 0.14 points to end at 5.51 and Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (AT:) declined 2.14% or 0.32 points to 14.62.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 75 to 43, with 14 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 1.05 percent, or 26.35, to $2,543.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery rose 1.67% or 1.22 to $74.23 a barrel, while Brent crude futures rose 1.50% or 1 .16 to $78.38 per barrel.

EUR/USD rose 0.59% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.15% to 0.85.

US dollar index futures fell 0.63% to 100.76.
