Hub names Smith president of Carolinas Ops

Hub International Ltd., the global insurance broker, named Tim Smith president and CEO of its Carolina operations.

Smith previously served as director of sales at Hub International Carolinas and was market leader in the Charlotte area. Prior to that, he was managing director of business development at Wells Fargo, the Chicago-based Hub said in a news release.

Smith will now oversee 13 Hub offices and 340 people and be responsible for M&A growth and strategy in North and South Carolina. The firm’s portfolio includes over 50 commercial clients, with a specialty in the non-profit, construction and hospitality fields.
