Brazil stocks are up at the close; Bovespa rose 0.50% Via Investing.com

Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Sao Paulo, it was up 0.50%.

The best performers of the session were Cogna Educacao SA (BVMF: ), which rose 6.77% or 0.09 points to trade at 1.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Ez Tec SA (BVMF: ) was up 6.71% or 0.93 points to end at 14.78 and YDUQS Participacoes SA (BVMF: ) was up 6.30% or 0.61 points to 10.29 at the end of trading.

The worst performers of the session were JBS SA (BVMF: ), which declined 3.59% or 1.30 points to trade at 34.91 at the close. BRF SA (BVMF: ) declined 2.29% or 0.59 points to end at 25.12 and Vale SA (BVMF: ) declined 1.85% or 1.08 points to 57.30.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the B3 Stock Exchange by 602 to 337, with 51 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 1.18%, or 29.80, to $2,546.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery rose 2.60%, or 1.90, to $74.91 a barrel, while the December C coffee contract rose 1.42% or 3.45, up to $246.35.

USD/BRL fell 1.70% to 5.49, while EUR/BRL fell 1.24% to 6.13.

US dollar index futures fell 0.81% to 100.58.
