What you need to know

Here’s some key information drivers and road users will need to know about the running events taking place on Sunday 19 May and how they will affect traffic, parking and more:

  • The Clifton Suspension Bridge will remain open at all times
  • Road closures will be in place for the event as per the colour-coded map and zones found in this document (and below)
  • The AJ Bell Great Bristol round will start from 9am and will be followed by multiple wave starts
  • All roads will be reopened by 5pm, if not earlier. The reopening times listed are indicative and subject to change due to operational requirements
  • If you need your vehicle during the closure hours, we recommend parking outside the road closure area
  • Cars parked on closed roads can be lifted if they are parked in suspended spaces and no movement of cars is allowed during road closures. Warning signs and “No Parking” cones will identify these areas
  • If your vehicle is collected, it will be moved to Portwall Lane car park or SS Great Britain car park, whichever is nearest. You can contact parking services with queries on the day by calling 0117 903 8070.
