Sadness for top-rated beauty salon to close as ‘heavy hearted’ decision

A top salon that many say they “loved” will soon close for good. Glow Aesthetics and Beauty in Rugby will close at the end of May.

Glow Aesthetics and Beauty, in Church Street, has been open for five years but will close in a few days due to “increased costs”. Staff said it was “impossible to keep the business afloat”.

Employees Zane, Marta and Amber announced the impending closure last week, saying the decision was made with “heavy hearts”. A joint statement issued on Facebook said launching during Covid made the journey “very difficult”.

Customers have shared their sadness at the impending closure of Glow Aesthetics and Beauty, with one saying they were extremely “disappointed”. Another said he had “loved” their visits over the years and was “sad to see them go”.

A spokesperson for Glow Aesthetics and Beauty said: “It is with heavy hearts that we announce that we must close at the end of May. Unfortunately, the business is not generating enough revenue to cover its increased costs.

“Everyone at Glow really tried to make this a success, but unfortunately with the increasing salaries, products and bills, it was impossible to stay afloat. Lily, Tim, Helen, Zane, Amber and Marta have worked so hard to find ways to keep the business going and we are so sad to close!
