Tesco alert on food that may contain glass as Aldi recalls meat

Two major supermarkets have issued product recalls amid fears they could prove dangerous to eat. Tesco has issued an alert about sandwich pickles and Aldi has a warning about meat.

Tesco is recalling Tesco Sandwich Pickle because it may contain pieces of glass, making it unsafe to eat. The recall concerns 295g jars of Tesco Sandwich Pickle with a batch code of 3254 and a use-by date of 11 September 2025.

Aldi is recalling Ashfields Grill Chinese Pork Loin Steaks and BBQ Pork Steaks due to a labeling error indicating incorrect expiry dates, making the products unsafe for consumption.

Point of sale ads will be displayed in all retail stores that sell these products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have purchased the products.
