Families can stay in a Sea King helicopter at the Yorkshire glamping site

Aviation-minded families can now book an extraordinary stay in a Sea King helicopter at Yorkshire’s glamping hotspot. If your little ones are fascinated by airplanes, they will be delighted with this unique experience.

At Pinewood Park in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, couples and families can enjoy a unique escape. The site boasts three decommissioned Sea King helicopters, including one that saw action in the Falkland Islands and another piloted by none other than Prince William.




Each helicopter is converted into comfortable accommodation with a double bed, bunk beds suitable for children under 13 and an additional bench for a third child. The helicopters are equipped with essentials such as a heater, fridge, kettle and electrical outlets, plus guests have access to a spacious raised deck area with table and chairs for alfresco lounging.

Toilets and showers are also available on site, the Manchester Evening News reports. A minimum stay of two nights is required and while the price tag of around £350 may not be the cheapest option, it hasn’t put off eager holidaymakers, most May and June dates have already been booked and bookings have income for the coming months. .
