The air ambulance is approaching a serious crash between a Vauxhall and a moped in Nuneaton

An air ambulance was among the emergency responses to a car and moped crash in Nuenaton. The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance landed on Dingle in Camp Hill last night (May 15).

Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) were first at the scene in Cedar Road. They requested support from the air ambulance as well as the police.



A WMAS spokesman said the moped was left with “serious injuries”. He was taken to hospital by ground ambulance.

“We were called to reports of a collision between a car and a moped on Cedar Road at 5.18pm, an ambulance and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene,” the WMAS spokesman said. “Upon arrival I discovered a patient, a man driving a moped. He was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries before being taken to Coventry and Warwickshire University Hospital by land ambulance.”

Warwickshire Police confirmed officers were called to the scene by the ambulance service and found a Vauxhall and a moped were involved. The road was blocked for just over an hour.

Police are currently investigating the impact. As part of this, an appeal for witnesses has been launched and anyone with information or dashcam footage should either visit the police website here or call 101 quoting incident number 236 of May 15.
