Japanese stocks up at close; The Nikkei 225 rose 0.72% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Tokyo, it gained 0.72%.

The best performers of the session on the were JTEKT Corp. (TYO: ), which rose 5.61% or 57.50 points to trade at 1,083.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Nissui Corp (TYO: ) added 4.54% or 40.60 points to end at 935.00 and Yokogawa Electric Corp. (TYO: ) was up 4.36% or 167.00 points to trade at 3,994.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Lasertec Corp (TYO: ), which decreased 4.32% or 1,245.00 points to trade at 27,580.00 at the close. Merchants Inc (TYO: ) declined 3.07% or 70.50 points to end at 2,228.50 and Hitachi Ltd (TYO: ) declined 1.86% or 64.00 points to 3,370. 00.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2,783 to 871, while 219 ended unchanged.
