LIVE as Boggart Hole Clough closed by police amid serious incident – updates

An area of woodland and parkland in north Manchester is cordoned off by police this morning following a serious incident.

Boggart Hole Clough in Blackley is currently closed to the public. It appears that all entrances to the park area are taped off.

Officers are on scene. The nature of what happened has yet to be confirmed, though Manchester Evening News that police responded to a serious incident.

Councilor for Harpurhey and Collyhurst, Pat Karney, said there was “no threat to the local community or residents”.
