Mexico stocks fall at the close; S&P/BMV IPC fell 1.31% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the end in Mexico, it lost 1.31%.

The best performers of the session were Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV: ), which rose 1.92% or 0.15 points to trade at 7.93 at the close. Meanwhile, Kimberly – Clark De Mexico A (BMV: ) added 0.96% or 0.31 points to end at 32.35 and Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD (BMV: ) was up 0.80% or 1.63 points to trade at 206.26 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Corporacion Inmobiliaria Vesta SAB (BMV: ), which declined 4.74% or 2.63 points to trade at 52.95 at the close. Grupo Financiero Inbursa SAB De CV (BMV: ) declined 3.15% or 1.48 points to 45.66 and Grupo Bimbo, SAB De CV (BMV: ) declined 3.14% or 2.20 points to at 67.81.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Mexico Stock Exchange 150 to 83, with 8 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.19%, or 4.80, to $2,560.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery fell 2.14%, or 1.66, to $75.76 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.08 % or 0.06, up to $78.97 per barrel.

USD/MXN rose 0.09% to 19.77, while EUR/MXN rose 0.03% to 22.11.

US dollar index futures fell 0.28% to 100.46.
