Brockwell Swimmers are calling on Lambeth Council to lift the ban on hosting training sessions

Brockwell Swimmers Club has accused Fusion Lifestyle, which leases Brockwell Lido from Lambeth council, of failing to honor an agreement allowing the club to hold training sessions at the pool.

They told Brixton Buzz

Brockwell Swimmers Club was established as a registered amateur community sports club in 2016 and has been applying for pool hire for coached swimming for over seven years.

This has always been prevented by a small private commercial company claiming exclusive swimming training at the publicly owned Lido.

Both Fusion Lifestyle and Lambeth Council support the decision, despite a local triathlon club being allowed its own swimming coach.

Brockwell Swimming Club is working to build a lasting legacy for our wonderful lido as well as encouraging more swimmers to use the pool all year round.
