PrettyLittleThing issues a statement after thousands of people turned out for the event

PrettyLittleThing has released a statement following its open model casting in London, where thousands of hopefuls queue for hours. The fast fashion brand has announced that it will be looking for the “next face” of the brand for its campaign.

Prospective entrants have been told to head to Great Portland Street to attend the casting call on Wednesday 15 May. More than 3,000 people flocked to the casting as hopefuls lined the streets and queued for hours for a chance.

PrettyLittleThing has since released a statement addressing the call. In a post shared on the brand’s Instagram page, he explained that there would still be the possibility to apply for casting.

Along with a lengthy post, PrettyLittleThing said: “A note to those who turned up yesterday… If you still want to apply for our casting in London, please upload a full photo and an unfiltered video of you walking in front room along with a copy of your ID (must be 16 or over), social security numbers and full name to [email protected].

“We will contact successful candidates via DM who will be invited back to attend with us in person. Thanks again to everyone who participated, Love PLT.”

PLT’s extended message read: “Thank you to everyone who attended our casting day in London yesterday. We could never have predicted that over 3,000 of you would come to see us and understand that many of you stood in line all day to do so.

“Although we opened our doors early at 9.30am and extended the casting until later in the day to see as many of you as possible, we had to ensure the safety of both our staff and each of you, so we have been advised by our security team. to close our doors at 16.30. We know how frustrating and disappointing this is, so we will continue to distribute in a more controlled manner.

The brand disabled comments on the post, which was liked 10,000 times. A number of people have shared their experiences of casting on TikTok.
