Stocks in Russia decrease at the close of transactions; MOEX Russia fell 1.05% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Moscow, it lost 1.05%.

The best performers of the session were Aeroflot (MCX: ), which rose 4.05% or 1.96 points to trade at 50.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Yandex NV (MCX: ) added 1.24% or 47.50 points to end at 3,891.50 and Sberbank Rossii PAO (MCX: ) was up 0.74% or 1.92 points to 262.42 at end of transactions.

The worst performers of the session were AFK Sistema (MCX: ), which fell 6.27% or 1.07 points to trade at 16.05 at the close. Ozon Holdings PLC (MCX: ) declined 3.68% or 121.50 points to end at 3,183.00 and FGK Rusgidro PAO (MCX: ) declined 3.32% or 0.02 points to to 0.54.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 181 to 64 and 8 ended unchanged.

Shares of FGK Rusgidro PAO (MCX:) fell to 3-year lows; down 3.32% or 0.02 to 0.54.

Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.55%, or 14.00, to $2,538.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery fell 1.52%, or 1.15, to $74.38 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.01% or 0.01 to $77.41 per barrel.

USD/RUB fell 0.01% to 91.48, while EUR/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 101.74.

US dollar index futures rose 0.51% to 100.97.
