The National Vegan Market visits Sheffield

A vegan market that visited the UK visited the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

Vegan Events UK has been running events since 2017 which aim to educate about veganism, promote vegan businesses and show people how easy and affordable it can be to be vegan.

The owner of Winchester-based vegan chocolate company Ethicoco, Linden Rufus-Winters, said: “Everyone here is a potential customer.

“If you’re on a high street just doing a market, ninety percent of people will walk past them because they’re not vegan, so they’re not interested.”

At each event, there are over 60 stalls which are owned by independent vegan businesses from across the UK.

These stalls offer a wide range of vegan products such as sustainable alternatives to household products and world foods. They also host informative talks by professionals and activists.

Vegan Events UK will be running 18 markets across the UK throughout the year.

4 markets have been confirmed in Yorkshire, with more to be confirmed across the country.

The next market will be held on June 1st in Coventry.
