Greek stocks rise at close of trade; The Athens General Composite rose 0.30% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the end in Athens, it increased by 0.30%.

The best performers of the session on the were Fourlis Hld (AT: ), which rose 3.46% or 0.14 points to trade at 4.04 at the close. Meanwhile, Autohellas (AT:) added 3.24% or 0.36 points to end at 11.48 and Ellactor SA (AT: ) was up 2.99% or 0.06 points to trade at 2.07 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Gr Sarantis SA (AT: ), which declined 2.55% or 0.26 points to trade at 9.94 at the close. Crete Plastics SA (AT: ) declined 2.04% or 0.30 points to end at 14.40 and Greek Football Prognostics SA (AT: ) declined 1.64% or 0.26 points, up to 15.64.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Athens Stock Exchange 55 to 53, with 20 ending unchanged.

Shares in Crete Plastics SA (AT:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.04% or 0.30 to 14.40.

Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.58 percent, or 14.90, to $2,545.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery fell 2.67%, or 2.03%, to $73.88 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.21% or 1.74, up to 77.08 dollars per barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.13% to 0.84.

US dollar index futures rose 0.12% to 101.39.
