A 47-year-old man is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court

A 47-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a woman in Leicester.

Sindeep Singh, of no fixed address, was charged following the death of 76-year-old Bhajan Kaur.

Officers were called to a property in Bolsover Street, Leicester, just after 8.05pm on Monday after Bhajan was found dead at the address.

Singh was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court tomorrow
