Inside £1,200 worth of Sephora goodie bags, shoppers are given a free

Hundreds of lucky beauty fans could get their hands on a free Sephora goodie bag as a new store opened today (May 16). Its latest store has opened its doors to the public in Manchester’s Trafford Centre.

The new branch marks the opening of the beauty chain’s third store in the UK. The beauty retailer stocks thousands of brands including Lady Gaga’s Haus Labs, ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr and Tarte – all of which can be hard to find at other UK retailers.

It also has its own beauty center where shoppers can meet professionals for a make-up touch-up, a new hairstyle or a skin treatment. It’s also a great place to test out new products and get expert advice.

Before the opening, a number of people attended a VIP event where they were given a goody bag full of goodies. The bag was filled with items from Tatcha, Caudalie, Medik8, Color WOW, Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty and even a Dyson comb.

On TikTok, one satisfied shopper showed off everything she got in her goodie bag. Taking to the social media app, Dominique revealed that everything in her bag came to a staggering £1,246.08.

Those who attended the grand opening were given a wristband which, when sold in-store, provided them with a exclusive goodie bag. Goodie bag contents may vary.

Manchester Evening News’ Beauty editor Rachel Pughes was lucky enough to be at the opening, where she picked up a bag for herself. She described the experience as “like a 6-year-old in me at Christmas in 1998 feeling like Santa Claus had just brought the entire Argos catalog”.

She wrote: “Anyone who’s anyone in the beauty scene knows that when it comes to a goodie bag, Sephora sure knows how to do it. So, I was full of anticipation as I headed home to pick up mine.

“During collection, the staff member friend asked, ‘Are you leaving yet?’ Because if not, I would advise you to hold back because they are very heavy”.

Sephora will once again be giving away free bags to the first 100 shoppers in line tomorrow (Friday the 17th). As well as Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May, respectively MEN.
