Altcoins Set For $2B Unlocks In September, IMX And ​​TAIKO Lead Unlocks From Next Week

Friday’s token unlock data reveals $2 billion worth of tokens set to unlock on the rocks in September. The new month will begin with $82 million worth of tokens going into circulation next week, with Immutable X (IMX) and TAIKO seeing the most volume.

IMX and TAIKO kick off the first week of September with $82 million unlocks

The crypto market is gearing up for massive unlocks in September. More than $2 billion worth of tokens, including Solana (SOL) and Worldcoin (WLD), will go into circulation. Solana will unlock approximately $360 million worth of new tokens, while Worldcoin will unlock approximately $304 million worth of new tokens.

IMX, TAIKO, MODE, ENA, GAL, HFT and DYDX will post $82M unlocks next week to kick off unlocks.

Cliff Unlocks are events where a project unlocks tokens for investors, community members or advisors. This injection of supply often leads to price drops for the token if demand fails to meet the increased supply.

IMX and TAIKO will see the largest unlock volumes next week, accounting for over 80% of all rock unlocks, with a combined new injection of $66 million. IMX will unlock $46.11 million worth of tokens, roughly 2% of its current circulating supply. TAIKO will see $20 million in unlocks next week, representing 19% of its circulating supply.

Both tokens are currently down over the past 24 hours and could see further declines as a result of increased circulation.

Other tokens that will be added to their offering next week include MODE, which will receive $6.3 million in unlocks, worth 38% of its current offering. ENA will receive $3.5 million in new unlocks, GAL $2.3 million, HFT $1.97 million and DYDX $1.4 million.
