Mark Cuban calls politics AF****D in partisan mess. Here’s how he thinks entrepreneurship can help solve society’s problems

Mark Cuban isn’t shy about sharing his thoughts, and when it comes to politics, he doesn’t hold back. At a recent event, Cuban called politics a “partisan mess of hell,” expressing frustration with the current state of affairs. But instead of complaining, Cuban believes there is a solution: entrepreneurship.

Don’t miss:

Cuban sees division in politics as a major problem. He argues that focusing on party lines and political battles distracts from what really matters – improving people’s lives.

“When we were growing up, there were three networks. Then there were 57 channels, then 500 channels and nothing. Now there are unlimited channels and everyone has a voice for better or for worse,” says Cuban.

Trends:

He believes this is why entrepreneurship is so important. As an entrepreneur, you can’t get caught up in all of this. You have to do what’s best for your customers, no matter what they look like.

When people start their own businesses, they create jobs and boost the economy, but they also bring new solutions. As he says, “That’s what makes this country so different from any other country. We all have that bit of entrepreneurship inside of us.”

Entrepreneurs are not bogged down by political debates; it focuses on solving real-world problems, and Cuban thinks that’s what the country needs more of.

Cuban says businesses should reflect the diversity of their customers. He believes that companies should mirror the communities they serve, which is not only smart for business, but also helps bring people together. By being inclusive and understanding what their customers need, companies can do more to bring people together than politicians often manage to do.

Even if Cuban is frustrated by politics, he hasn’t completely stayed out of it. He recently voiced strong support for Kamala Harris, believing she has the leadership to create a better environment for small business and innovation. He defends her and her alleged policies on social media and often gets into arguments with Elon Musk and others about DEI.

Trends:

Cuban’s Shark Tank colleague Kevin O’Leary similarly denied any interest in partisan politics, emphasizing his focus on promoting small businesses. In an interview, O’Leary said, “I don’t get into partisan politics. I’m in the middle. In the middle.”

Like Cuban, he believes entrepreneurship can drive economic growth and improve society. “If you want to hold a small business rally, I’ll be happy to headline, but if you want to get into partisan politics, that’s not good for me,” O’Leary said. “I care about policy and helping small businesses.”
