The new overnight coach from London to Bradford will stop at Heathrow, Birmingham, Sheffield and Leeds

National Express has announced a new night coach service between London, Heathrow, Birmingham and major cities in Yorkshire. The new daily service 466 will depart from London Victoria Coach Station, calling at Heathrow Airport, Birmingham Airport, Derby, Chesterfield, Sheffield and Leeds before heading to Bradford. It also runs in reverse.

The operator also says it is increasing the number of daily 460 coach services between London and Heathrow Airport from May 24. Leamington Spa and Banbury will be added to the network as services continue north to Coventry and Rugby.

In addition, the daily 465 overnight service between London, East Midlands and Yorkshire will have a revised timetable from 13 May, also introducing Loughborough. It comes as bosses hail “a year of passenger growth”, with more than 19 million traveling on the coach network in 2023.

This is a 25% increase on 15 million in 2022. National Express says it expects 150 new vehicles to hit the roads this year. Officials say they will offer customers a “comfortable and relaxing journey” to hundreds of destinations across the country.

MyLondon ran between London and Stansted Airport in March. The vehicle offers LED “status lighting” for its passengers, reclining seats and wireless charging for on-board devices.

Other Service Changes

National Express is changing other services during May to offer customers more efficient journeys and travel options.

From May 17:

  • 170: Revised daily services between Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds – bringing Warrington (Hulme) into the network and also serving Manchester Airport

  • 171: Revised daily services between Liverpool, Manchester, Bradford and Leeds – also serving Warrington (Hulme) and Manchester Airport
