A crash temporarily closes a busy street in Eastern Enfield

ENFIELD, CT — Taylor Road, a busy thoroughfare that runs from the Scitico section of Enfield to the Massachusetts state line, will be closed in both directions for several hours Thursday morning due to an accident.

A message distributed through the city’s Everbridge notification system shortly after 9 a.m. said:

Due to a motor vehicle collision with downed power lines, Taylor RD will be closed in both directions near Heron Rd. for the next few hours. Please avoid the area.
