Disney Cruises can’t wait for these new themed dinner shows

When the Disney Wish cruise ship set sail in the summer of 2022, Frozen fans were excited to experience a first-of-its-kind themed dinner show.

“Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure” is one of the main dining rooms on Disney Wish. The themed space features a live theatrical ‘Frozen’ dining experience in Nordic gala style.

The Disney Wish cruise ship also offers a Worlds of Marvel cinematic dining experience, another new type of interactive dinner show. Guests take part in an exciting ‘Avengers: Quantum Encounter’ mission while dining on dishes inspired by real and fictional Marvel Cinematic Universe settings.

Both themed dinner shows are part of Disney Cruise Line’s unique rotating dining system, where passengers dine at a different themed restaurant each night. Servers accompany their guests to each of the three main dining areas aboard Disney cruise ships.

On the Disney Wish, passengers also dine at the elegant 1923 Old Hollywood-inspired restaurant, named after the year Walt Disney Studios was founded.

This summer, Disney Cruise Line announced details of several themed dinner shows coming to its new Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny ships.

The Disney Treasure Cruise Ship will present a “Coco” dinner show.

When the Disney Treasure cruise ship sets sail in December 2024 from Port Canaveral, Florida, passengers will experience exciting new culinary adventures with Marvel and Pixar themes.

The ship will feature a new Marvel-themed cinematic experience, as well as the world’s first dinner theater show themed around the Disney and Pixar film, ‘Coco’.

At the Worlds of Marvel restaurant, passengers will join Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy movies on an on-screen mission to throw a next-level surprise party for his friend Rocket.

Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix cinematic experience will feature worldly menu, songs from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Awesome Mix tapes of movies and a Marvel trivia game.

For two nights during their Disney Treasure voyage, passengers will also take a trip to the colorful town of Santa Cecilia, the setting for the Pixar Animation Studios film, “Coco.”

On their first night at the Plaza de Coco restaurant, guests will be entertained by Miguel and the town’s mariachis as they dine on flavorful Mexican cuisine. On the second night, passengers will celebrate Dia de los Muertos with the entire Rivera family.

The Disney Destiny will present the “mane” event, a “Lion King” themed dinner show.

For many, especially Millennial parents who grew up with Simba, Disney Cruise Line’s most exciting dinner announcement to date is Disney Destiny’s Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King.

This “Lion King” themed dinner show is another first-of-its-kind dining experience that will take Disney Destiny passengers on a musical journey through the award-winning soundtrack of the beloved Disney film.

Inspired by the African savannah, the restaurant will use lighting and special effects to transport guests to the Pride Lands.

On the stage in the center of the restaurant, live musicians and storytellers will perform iconic songs including “Circle of Life” and “Hakuna Matata”.

They will also perform a unique mash-up of “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and “Be Prepared” that will emphasize the story’s hero-villain dynamic and Disney’s Destiny ship theme.

Disney Cruise Line’s new heroes and villains-inspired ship, Disney Destiny will also feature the Worlds of Marvel restaurant and new Marvel-inspired spaces and experiences.
