Mexico stocks are up at the close; S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.98% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Mexico, it gained 0.98%.

The best performers of the session were Regional SAB de CV (BMV:), which rose 5.88% or 7.34 points to trade at 132.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Also SAB De CV (BMV: ) added 3.43% or 1.85 points to end at 55.76 and Banco Del Bajio SA Institucia De Banca Multiple (BMV:) was up 2.58% or 1.27 points to trade at 50.54 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:), which declined 4.70% or 0.37 points to trade at 7.51 at the close. Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV: ) declined 1.76% or 2.78 points to 155.10 and Promotora y Operadora de Infraestructura SAB de CV (BMV: ) declined 0.50% or 0 .91 points to 182.07.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Mexico Stock Exchange 87 to 45, with 17 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.16%, or 4.10, to $2,531.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery rose 0.67%, or 0.49, to $74.04 a barrel, while the November Brent crude contract rose 0.47% or 0.36, to 77.29 dollars per barrel.

USD/MXN rose 0.12% to 19.84, while EUR/MXN fell 0.03% to 21.95.

US dollar index futures were down 0.05% at 101.57.
