Britain on the brink of a 10-day heatwave with ‘very hot’ temperatures.

The UK is bracing for a TEN DAY heatwave with ‘above normal’ temperatures likely. According to The Met Office’s long-range forecast for May 9-18, some “very warm days” could follow, with temperatures set to be slightly above normal across the country.

WX Charts predicted that next weekend, May 11 and May 12, could be the best days of the year so far – with 20-year highs. The Met Office explained: “There is a strong signal of high pressure across the UK at the start of this period, bringing a good deal of fine and dry weather for most areas, although with patchy mist and fog each morning.




“Northwest parts of the UK are likely to be an exception to this, with more cloud and rain at times here. The high is likely to hold sway over the weekend before beginning to weaken into the week ahead.

“So a continuation of the fine weather over the weekend looks likely for most, before less settled conditions return next week. Temperatures are expected to be slightly above normal for early May, with some very warm days possible.”

Its outlook for May 21 to June 4 adds: “It’s likely to be a fairly unsettled start to late May and early June, with rain or showers for many, but also some sunny spells in between and slightly above average temperatures. .

“Throughout the period, there are some signs that conditions could become a bit more settled in the south and east, with most of the rain reserved for the north and west. With a strong sun this time of year, it will feel warm at all times. sunshine.”

Netweather TV also backed this week’s reports to be amazing, saying: “High pressure will build through Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing warm and sunny weather to most of England and Wales and temperatures in the 20s C.”
