The post spread the news Instagram earlier today, May 16. “Help us save our space from development,” the post reads. “We were told we had to buy the pub or move on. So we’re asking for your support to help us raise the deposit money so we can buy the building. By purchasing the building, we can ensure that Mickey Zoggs continues to serve the community and that Noods Radio has a safe home to continue broadcasting. Without Zoggs, the station may cease to exist. Noods has since released a Crowdfunder, aiming to reach £70,000. The station has already passed the £5,000 mark. Opening in St Pauls in 2021, Mickey Zoggs is a community focused cafe, bar and event space. Coincidentally, it is built on the site of a now closed bar Surrey Diseases, which hosted the original Noods studio in 2017.
