Spain stocks fall at close of trade; The IBEX 35 was down 1.02% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the end in Madrid, it lost 1.02%.

The best performers of the session were International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME: ), which rose 1.16% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.19 at the close. Meanwhile, Telephony (BME: ) was up 0.43% or 0.02 points to end at 4.17 and Redeia Corporacion SA (BME: ) was up 0.29% or 0.05 points to 17.31 at the end of the transaction.

The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (BME: ), which fell 4.75% or 1.01 points to trade at 20.25 at the close. Banco de Sabadell SA (BME: ) declined 4.08% or 0.08 points to 1.87 and Unicaja Banco SA (BME: ) decreased 3.20% or 0.04 points to 1.18.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 139 to 54, with 25 ending unchanged.

Shares in International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.16% or 0.03 to 2.19.

Gold futures for December delivery were down 0.36%, or 9.00, at $2,518.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery fell 3.83%, or 2.82, to $70.73 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 4.42% or 3.43, to 74.09 dollars per barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.

US dollar index futures rose 0.14% to 101.76.
