Ratings of Leeds United players like Gray, Rutter and Kamara lead Norwich City’s best ruse of the season

Leeds United (4-2-3-1)

1 Illan Meslier

He had his moment despite the strong score. He stood up for a huge save that kept the feel-good factor flowing at 2-0 in the first half. Also commanding the crosses after that. You can’t mess with his cast either. 8

22 Archie Gray

Another powerfully impressive night under the lights for the 18-year-old. So composed and unflappable on the biggest night of his career to date. He has the motor and feet to keep up with the opposition’s faster players, but also the technical ability to then get out of tough situations. He stormed forward at will. 9

14 Joe Rodon

Command and set the tone with some massive interceptions and tackles in the first half, and deep into the away half. Never cause trouble. So important to extinguish the danger and gain possession forward again. 9

4 Ethan Ampadu (b)

A blot on his notebook was the misjudged slide to stop Josh Sargent, which put him one vs. one with Meslier. He didn’t put a foot wrong after that. Big presence in the backline. 8

3 Junior Firpo

I was not wrong, as we know it can be. One of those who undoubtedly fed on the confidence from the start of the team to the match. So good that he steps up as a fifth striker in this formation. Great composure to set up Crysencio Summerville for the fourth goal. 9

44 Ilia Gruev

What a moment to score your first goal in Leeds colours. An expertly taken free-kick that fooled Angus Gunn. He gets the team going and then played at his destructive and protective best in the engine room. 9

8 Glen Kamara

Right up there with his best performances in the spotlight games against Leicester City and Ipswich Town this season. He calmly walks down the pitch spoiling the Norwich game. He moved the team up and down the field so well. 9

29 Wilfried Gnonto

He may not have found quite the same power as his colleagues, but by no means a poor performance from the Italian. He brought so much energy and pace to the attack. They couldn’t touch him while he was dribbling. A divine cross for Joel Piroe to nod in the second. 8

24 Georginio Rutter

Back to it and no one needed a goal more than him. Like Firpo, he fed on the trust of the crowd and the team. The goal was a cherry on top of the cake he was already carving in open play. 9

10 Crysencio Summerville

He got the goal his game deserved after a disinterested pass from Firpo. Floats with the ball and almost through the opposition defenders. A threat. The player who could riot at Wembley. 9

7 Joel Piroe

He has been waiting all season for a performance like this from the Dutch striker. Huge. A perfect display as the lone striker. He ran through the channels, outpaced defenders, got on the end of passes in the box, scored and set up others. extraordinary. Only taken from a nine after his missed sitters. 8

Substitutes

28 Karl Darlow

5 Charlie Cresswell

6 Liam Cooper (active for Gruev 83 min)

A late cameo in what was surely an Elland Road farewell. N/A

12 Jaidon Anthony (active for Summerville 74 min)

Bright, but nothing like the color of the supernova we saw from the starter. 7

17 Jamie Shackleton

20 Daniel James (on for Gnonto 69 min)

He wasted his chance to be a hero with a dreadful corner that could have given Cooper a chance for a late goal. 7

30 Joe Gelhardt

33 Connor Roberts (on for Rutter 74 min)

Not much was seen of him, but he fought well with the long won game. 7

49 Mateo Joseph (on for Piroe 74min)

No goals, even on a night when Leeds scored four. 7
